Blanket Distribution

Ashwaas is a humanitarian organization driven by the mission to serve those who are often overlooked and left to fend for themselves — especially the homeless. In Nasik, where winters can be harsh and chilling, the plight of the homeless becomes particularly dire. Many of them sleep exposed along the banks of the Godavari River, with little more than thin clothing to protect them from the cold. Recognizing this urgent need, Ashwaas has taken up the responsibility of bringing warmth and care to these vulnerable individuals.

Each winter, Ashwaas launches a blanket distribution drive, reaching out to the homeless in some of the coldest and most neglected parts of the city. Their volunteers go out during the late hours of the night, when the cold is at its peak, to ensure that those sleeping under the open sky receive warm blankets. These are not just material donations, but lifelines that help prevent illnesses, offer comfort, and most importantly, show that someone cares.

What sets Ashwaas apart is its deeply personal and consistent approach to service. The organization doesn't just offer one-time aid, but follows through with regular outreach, identifying the most affected areas and responding with empathy and commitment. For the people they help, Ashwaas becomes more than an organization — it becomes a symbol of hope and humanity during times of despair.
